Album Cover Artwork: “Love Lust Tales”.

Due out on vinyl, CD and download on June 15th 2012, this is my album cover artwork for “Love Lust Tales”, the debut album from Glasgow band Louise McVey & The Cracks In The Concrete:

The cover took a lot of time and wine and was drawn with black biro pen.
No computers were involved.
The background is based on a crumbling Detroit ballroom and the piano was drawn from the piano as used by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

I’ll post details of where you can buy “Love Lust Tales” on my Twitter and Facebook pages just as soon as I know and in the meantime, visit Louise McVey & The Cracks In The Concrete HERE and HERE.

The band sound like some sort of twisted Tim Burton nightmare and in my book, that’s ALWAYS a good thing.

Here are some photos I took of my massive face back in 2004 when I actually had the time to spend entire days messing around with cameras and glass and ink and lots of water.

There’s quite a few of these pictures and you can see them all on my Facebook page.

This is an old piece of mine which started out as a single tiny drawing of a shell I’d found on a beach.
I then expanded on it by drawing certain patterns from the shell until I began to notice that it was starting to resemble a face.
