Sam Weber’s “Lord Of The Flies”.

I like to stay up late into the night and look at books I can’t afford.
I found a couple of illustrations by chance tonight which are blowing me away.

From a new version of William Golding’s “Lord Of The Flies“,
All are by artist Sam Weber.

Sam Weber said:
“Using contemporary illustration to accompany a much loved classic was an exciting challenge, made more so by the active involvement of the Golding Estate. Lord of The Flies is one of my favourite novels, and in many regards this opportunity was a true dream job.”

I think all of those are stunning.

  1. Yes absolutely stunning, and I love the creepy cover. I’ve read the book a couple of times, but never seen this edition.

  2. I think the front cover really resembles a 1967 postcard of John Lennon but I love the design.

    The illustrations are mind blowing!
    I’m getting this edition.

  3. Very cool, i think you would have to obviously read and/or watch the film (black and white one) to get the meanings behind these pics, amazing all the same. 🙂

  4. Oh. My. God. My old paperback edition of this book is so dogeared and highlighted it might be worth picking up this fucking masterpiece to replace it.

uNNANDNGNASDNFNANG this gave me an art boner.
