I tend to post quite a lot of useless information on Twitter these days.
Sometimes 140 Characters isn’t enough is it?

Did you know that rats can’t vomit? That’s why rat poison works.

Did you know that the average tastebud lives only 10 days before it dies and is replaced by a new one?

Did you know that if you went out into space, you would explode before you suffocated because there’s no air pressure?

Did you know that the IRS employees tax manual has instructions for collecting taxes after a nuclear war?

Did you know that slugs have 4 noses?

Did you know that on some Caribbean islands, the oysters can climb trees?

Did you know that no one knows where Mozart is buried?

  1. I’ve seen it suggested that Beelzebub might be a play on “Ba’al Zebul,” or “Lord of Heaven.”

  2. Pronounced: bee-EL-zi-bub (English), BEEL-zi-bub (English).

    From Hebrew בַּעַל זְבוּב (Ba’al Zevuv) meaning “Lord of flies”, intended as a mocking alteration of בּאל זבל (Ba’al Zevul) “Ba’al the exalted”, one of the Canaanite names for their god BA’AL.

    In Milton’s ‘Paradise Lost’ (1667) this was the name of Satan’s chief lieutenant.
