Bob Dylan: Christmas In The Heart.

I don’t think any of us expected this:

Bob-dylan-christmas-album

Yep.
Bob has made a Christmas album.

I listened to this last night for the first time.

How do you imagine this record to sound?
Look at the album cover.
It’s the crappy unwanted knitted Christmas jumper of album covers.
How do you imagine the record to sound?

It sounds exactly like you imagine it would.

Bob.
Bob doing Christmas songs.
Christmas song including:

‘Here Comes Santa Claus’, ‘Do You Hear What I Hear?’, & ‘Hark The Herald Angels Sing’.
He even does ‘Little Drummer Boy’.

On the first listen this record is hilarious.
It’s well played, Christmassy and really funny!

I’m not sure why.
Maybe just because Bob is the last person you’d expect a Christmas album from.
Also, It’s quite easy given Bob’s voice, To imagine that it’s Santa Claus himself who’s singing the songs.
Heheh.

I surprised myself and really liked this album!

It sounds like he’s having fun on this one.
Fun with the songs or fun with us?
Probably both.

Whatever.
It works.

PS: Sorry for talking about Christmas when it’s only October.
